
Michael Salvatori has been writing and producing music for television, radio and film projects for many years. Since 1997, he has been creating music for video games. He is best known for his collaborations with Marty O’Donnell, and has written music for five Halo video games. These soundtracks have won many awards, from Rolling Stone’s best soundtrack of 2002 for Halo: Combat Evolved, to ASCAP’s top video game soundtrack award of 2011 For Halo: Reach.
More recently, Michael has co-written music with O’Donnell, C Paul Johnson, and Sir Paul McCartney for Bungie’s Destiny, which was released 9/9/2014. Destiny’s music has already won several awards, including The Game Awards 2014 Best Score/Soundtrack, DICE Awards 2015 Outstanding Achievement in Music Composition, NAVGTR Awards 2015 Best Original Dramatic Score/New IP, and the 13th Annual Game Audio Network Guild Awards Music of the Year and Best Original Soundtrack Album.
Also in demand as an audio mixer, Michael continues his relationship with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and their Beyond the Score programs.
